What does this intervention involve?

Background

Indeterminate mediastinal masses/lymphadenopathy.

Procedure

Similar to lung biopsy with adapted needle trajectory. Duration: 30-45 minutes.

Risks

Pneumothorax, mediastinal bleeding, great vessel injury (rare).

Recovery

A few hours observation.

Practical information

Local anesthesia. Outpatient procedure (return home the same day).
