Background

When MRI and endoscopy are insufficient.

Procedure

Fine needle through liver into bile ducts, contrast injection. Duration: 20-30 minutes.

Risks

Biliary infection, bleeding, bile leak.

Recovery

Biliary drainage performed simultaneously if needed.

Practical information

Local anesthesia. Outpatient procedure (return home the same day).
