Background
Bacterial or amebic liver abscess >5 cm not responding to antibiotics alone.
Procedure
US-guided drain placement. Duration: 20-30 minutes.
Risks
Bleeding, superinfection, organ injury.
Recovery
Drain in place until resolution. Prolonged antibiotics.
