Background
Intrahepatic or common bile duct stones not accessible by endoscopy.
Procedure
Through mature biliary tract, choledochoscope introduced and stones extracted. Duration: 1-2 hours.
Risks
Cholangitis, bleeding, biliary perforation.
Recovery
Drain maintained. Follow-up cholangiography.
Practical information
Local anesthesia. Outpatient procedure (return home the same day).
