What does this intervention involve?
Background
Intermediate duration IV therapy (1-4 weeks) not requiring central access.
Procedure
US-guided insertion 20-25 cm into arm vein. Duration: 15 minutes.
Risks
Phlebitis, thrombosis, infection.
Recovery
Regular nursing care.
Practical information
Local anesthesia. Outpatient procedure (return home the same day).
